What Is…  Polari

The secret Gay Language used way back in the old days, you know like the 19th Century.  Sort of when I was just a wee lad.

Basically it wasn’t a language like English or French, but a slang where words had separate meanings than what one would normally associate with them.

Kind of neat to think, Gays had their own language or slang, but then not so neat. I mean it was because of fear of being Bashed or Outed.
